At the last count, we have moved over ten times and, on each occasion, have redecorated the house to suit our tastes. In what we hope will definitely be our last move (to Cranage) eighteen months ago, we engaged on the usual search for a good decorator. This time, however, we ended up being aided by our use of Farrow & Ball as, when we went into the Wilmslow showroom to purchase the paint, we found that they were having their showroom repainted – by Chris! A very quick, ‘if he’s good enough to paint Farrow & Ball’s showroom, he’ll be great for us,’ we asked Chris to start the redecorating job in the house. And, are we glad we did! We have been fortunate enough to have had some very good decorators in the past, but Chris is outstanding and his work has absolutely lifted our house and we are positively delighted by the results. There’s been an additional benefit too – Chris is good on colour advice, something we have used to our distinct advantage!

David Southern2023-07-19Chris is the best decorator we have found in 30 years. From the first meeting he came across as very knowledgable, helpful and easy to deal with. We have a new build property that needed decorating from top to bottom and the attention to detail, quality of finish and fantastic preparation means we have what feels like a completely new house. He was meticulous with his masking off and use of dust sheets. Chris uses a top dust extraction sanding system which makes a massive difference to dust in the house and is a must if you are living in the house while work is taking place. I would not hesitate to recommend Chris. You get what you pay for, brilliant. We will use him again for any future work.

rob lees2023-04-02To call Chris a painter completely understates his expertise. Yes, he is an outstanding painter with an eye for colour but that’s less than the reality of what he can do. For example, on his last visit a week ago, Chris transformed our old (in age and appearance) fireplace by putting plasterboard over the brick work and the skimming it before painting it and the skirting he had added to create a balanced finish. And, there’s the cupboard he made, insulated and painted, to cover the fuse boxes in our downstairs loo to help reduce the cold caused by the boxes being on an outside wall with no insulation behind. I wish I could take some credit for thinking of these solutions but the ideas were all Chris’. So, if you are looking to transform the appearance of your home, Chris is your man!!

He has made a fantastic job of rejuvenating our somewhat tired old kitchen - it now looks amazing! He works tirelessly, is extremely meticulous and the finished product is to the highest of standards. Chris was a pleasure to have in our house, he was polite, considerate, tidy, respectful and trustworthy.
