Painting Kitchens
It is important that we are able to view your existing kitchen. At this point we will offer a survey to prepare, prime and repaint it to a flawless hand painted finish. This also allows us to produce a quoutation for decorating your kitchen. You will receive a written quotation that covers all of the anticipated work.
Hand Painted Kitchens – Our Hand Painting Process
As work commences, we strip down the entire kitchen. All doors and drawer fronts are moved. Handles, hinges and catches are also removed in order to prepare the surfaces.
Once this is done, it is important to apply degreaser to all surfaces to be painted. We also mask all necessary areas and protect worktops and floor around the kitchen units.
Our service is entirely tailored to our individual client requirements. Some clients prefer for us to complete the work on-site. However, we also offer the service to take all removable parts off-site to our workshop. This just leaves the fixed units to be painted on site.
We fully sand all surfaces to be painted and fill any imperfections. We then decontaminate any surfaces prior to painting. High-grip primer is then then applied. We de-nib (lightly sand) in between coats and tack cloth.
Undercoat and topcoat are then applied to a high-quality finish. There are different options available in relation to paint finishes. We are happy to discuss this with our clients. It is important that they are confident of their choices. You are able to select a paint colour of your choice.
Once the entire painting process is complete the units are then ready for reassembly. Hinges and handles are refit. Doors and drawer fronts are rehung, and all protection is removed. We check all doors and drawers to make sure they hang and open correctly. We are able to tweak hinges, replace handles and offer a service to ensure your kitchen is working to its absolute best. This is all part of our skilled approach to hand painted kitchens.
